DreamWorks Animation and the director of Madagascar invite you to meet a most unusual baby. He wears a suit, speaks with the voice and wit of Alec Baldwin, and stars in the animated comedy, DreamWorks’ The Boss Baby. The Boss Baby is a hilariously universal story about how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative 7 year old named Tim. With a sly, heart-filled message about the importance of family, DreamWorks’ The Boss Baby is an authentic and broadly appealing original comedy for all ages.

Given the impressive pedigree of the star performer and lead animation director involved, there’s a good chance that the latest DreamWorks animated feature will manage to please when The Boss Baby sees theatrical release come March 2017. On the other hand, much of the film’s basic plot and outstanding premise is a little lacking – begging the question of whether or not the movie will find much in the way of an eager audience come time of the movie’s premiere.

Baldwin is certainly a bankable Hollywood star whose presence alone in The Boss Baby proper could result in a sizable batch of returns at the box office when the movie hits theaters early next year. Additionally, McGrath’s work on the Madagascar feature franchise made him into a top talent at DreamWorks, and with any luck his latest effort will prove just as successful with general audiences.

The Boss Baby will see theatrical release in the U.S. on March 31, 2017.
